What if my list is only about 150?
Who would want to swap with one that small?

Dave, go to the Warrior Forum and the other places I’ve listed and you’ll find people with lists ranging from 100 to 100,000. You have to start somewhere.

Thanks Derrick, Thomas has a good question. But I for one do not mind swapping with small lists. Small lists can simply resend the offer once or twice. I have found that swaps are starting to generate the same type people that go to JVGiveaways, that is they take the free offer and unsubscribe before you even get a chance to prove yourself.
There are just too many who sell sell sell without offering any type of content whatsoever.
Scott, I agree that there are a lot of freebie seekers in the IM niche and when you swap ads, you’re basically sharing leads with other marketers. But if you treat your subscribers better than those other marketers, they’ll stay on your list and unsubscribe from the others.

I just started build my list and i want thousands as soon as possible. Is it possible to build 2000 to 10,000 list for 1 or 2 months ? How
Kaz, how quickly you build your list is dependent on several factors like the conversion rate of your offer and the how responsive the subscribers are.
All things being equal, the bigger your list, the faster it grows.
If you have 100 people on your list and you swap with someone who has 100 people, you could add 10 new subscribers to your list. But if you have 1,000 people on your list, you could add 100 new subscribers. And when you have 10,000, you could ad 1,000.
So it will start out slow and then grow faster over time.

Hi Derrick,
I started using safe swaps a few weeks ago and have got my students to sign up..
It is a great place for newbies to increase there list size fast.
A few thing need to be added like the facility to do 2 ad swaps a day am and pm and have that tracked.
Also if your using a mac they have a few issues trying to book using the calendar.
But as you say once you start to use the service you wont leave…… you get hooked it saves so much time and so easy to swap……

Daniel, you can find ad swaps in almost any niche. Anyone with a list is a potential JV opportunity. The Safe Swap service just helps you manage and track your swaps.

Even if your list is 150 members, you can find other people with the same list size. Also many people do several mailings to match larger list size.

Derrick, I have a membership site which I will be “launching” as soon as I have developed a good strategy for this and have some authentically aligned JV partners in place.
I’ve spent the last year developing my dream into a reality and the site is now live but not fully stocked with material yet so I currently only have the FREE Member area live. I’ll open up the paid membership areas on launch day when I have all the content in place and everything is 100%.
What would be your best advice on setting up this launch so I reach my target audience? My site is for budding entrepreneurs and covers both My New Business ans My Self Growth, both areas I am passionate about supporting, coaching, and empowering others in.
I can niche down into pretty much any area I wish to target at one time so niche-ing isn’t my big problem.
I do understand the value of being an affiliate, and will be promoting many products this way in my “store”, but only those which are in alignment with my offering and for only those who are not in the business of selling pretty much anything they can get heir hands on.
I’m just not sure how to approach people with large lists of people who would benefit from my site, and who would gain by me promoting their business and programs to my list as it grows.
What do you suggest?

Lyn, the best strategy is to find other merchants who are selling similar product and services or ones related to your niche. Then ask them to cross-promote your products. You can do this with or without affiliate links. But JV ad swaps are a good way to get consistent traffic.

Safe Swaps is just a service that allows you to set up and track email ad swaps. You conversion rate will depend on many things including the quality of leads from your swap partners and more importantly, your own conversion process.
