Best Christmas Decorations of the Year

“Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after two days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down.”
“First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.”
“Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn’t realize that it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of the many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn’t take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.”

Been there usually the gutter will pull off the house and you can have a happy ride down. Of coarse then you can pop for the repairs!!!
That’s brilliant!! I used to have similar problems when setting up accident scenarios and exercises when teaching dealing with emergencies.

Very creative! Reminds me of our favorite Halloween stop in our neighborhood. A guy has a fake man in an Adirondack chair on his porch with jeans jacket, flannel shirt, work boots, gloves, etc. He looks real except his head is a fake pumpkin that lights up synchronized with a talking voice. Somehow the real guy is able to see us and talks to us through “Pumpkin Man”. The kids have a blast having a long conversation with Pumpkin Man and the guy has a good sense of humor and makes it really fun.

I saw another one where someone hung a leg and foot out of the closed trunk in their car. They were being pulled over by the police, hahaha. Take care and have an excellent holiday season. Patrick

That would be a car stopper. Most people want to help. Reminds me of being on the roof and I knocked the ladder down with the hose I had up there to clean the gutters. I sat up there for an hour or two till my wife got home. First thing she asked: What are you doing just sitting on the roof? I said do you see where the ladder is, would you please put it back up here so I can get down.Some pranks can be harmful even though they are really funny. Thanks for the laugh. Nealon

Awesome, but I’d be afraid everyone would come snooping to see if that “person” needed help. Who needs a bunch of people trampling through your yard?
I saw a great one near Dallas. The guy next door to a house that was really done up with an amazing (and expensive) light and decoration set-up made a big light circle on his garage door. Then he formed a light arrow pointing next door and spelled out ‘Ditto’ in the center of the circle. GENIUS!
It looks real. It will take sometime to realize it is fake.

Ahh great. It took me a few seconds to work that one out, but when I did I couldn’t stop laughing. I thought the dummy was real myself. You wicked person. I like it, but I’m glad you took it down. We wouldn’t want any accidents before christmas now would we.
