The Easiest, Most Effective Squeeze Page for Building an Opt-In List and Making Money Fast

One of the big attractions of affiliate marketing is that somebody else (the product owner) does all of the product creation and customer support work, while you just get paid. That’s a great business model for you. But having your own site makes things easier and more profitable, because it allows you to build a list.

I’m going to show you how to set up a simple squeeze page, with minimal effort. In fact, I’ve boiled it down to a few steps that anyone can follow.

The purpose of a squeeze page is to collect the visitor’s email address. It’s called a “squeeze page” because there is only one course of action they can take on the page-opt in to your list. In other words, you’re squeezing an email address out of visitors who opt in.

The system that I’m about to show you is designed to maximize opt-in conversions and affiliate sales with the least amount of effort.

The Gatekeeper

The gatekeeper is a simple, fast-loading squeeze page that is perfect for direct response advertising. Basically, you use the merchant’s headline and bullet points to create your own squeeze page. When someone subscribes, you redirect him through your affiliate link straight to the affiliate product sales letter. Think about how elegant this is…you get to capture leads and make money, and you don’t have to offer a free item!

Tip: If the merchant has a squeeze page, use the squeeze page bypass trick in my “Covert Affiliate Tactics” report.

Your headline should come from the main benefit of the affiliate product you’re recommending. In almost all cases, you can find that in the main headline on the product sales page. Simply put your own slight angle on that headline and you’ll have the headline for your squeeze page.

Then add a line that says something like, “Get this amazing information within seconds from right now…”

Two small twists that can help conversions:

  • Say the offer is available for a limited time only, which adds some urgency to sign up right away, and make the claim true when..
  • You offer a “bonus” of “FREE marketing information, tips and resources”…which is your mailing list

When somebody signs up, redirect him straight to the merchant’s product sales page. Have your autoresponder give subscribers links back to merchant’s website, and remind them that they’ll be receiving lots of great information and tips from you.

The system is simple:

1.      Your visitors will enter their name and email address and submit the form to receive the free information. You can also set an affiliate cookie with an image tag (read my “Covert Affiliate Tactics” report).

2.     The new subscriber is added to your list and sent directly to the merchant’s salesletter. If they purchase the product, you get the commission.

3.     They will immediately receive your first email with your welcome letter and a link back to salesletter of the product you are promoting.

This method works best if you’re NOT using verified opt-in because it appears to be the same website if you redirect prospects straight to the merchants sales page. If you’re sending highly targeted traffic to a Gatekeeper squeeze page, you should see high conversion rates both for opt-ins and affiliate sales.

The Absolute Fastest Way To Build a List and Make Money Online

If you’re an affiliate or you’re looking into affiliate marketing to make a little extra cash online, then you need to focus on building a list before you start promoting affiliate products. In this article, I’m going to give you a surefire method for building a list and making money from affiliate programs faster and easier than you ever imagined was possible.

Now you may be wondering why you need a list in the first place. Well it may seem obvious, but here’s the simple answer…

You can sell more stuff to the same visitors if you get them on your list first, instead of just sending them to a sales page. I mean, once they’re gone…they’re gone, right? And you can’t sell anything else to those people whether they buy or not.

But there’s more to it than that…

If you follow up and build a relationship with your subscribers you can drastically increase your conversion rates for the affiliate products you promote. In other words, you make more money from the same number of subscribers.

How do you do that?

In a nut shell, you make money by helping others achieve their goals.  You make money buy giving away quality information and then offering top-notch products and services that will help solve their problems and get them where they want to go.

Now, to build a list, you need two things:

  1. A way to capture leads
  2. Targeted traffic

In the past, I’ve always advised affiliates to create a squeeze page and concentrate on ONE traffic generation strategy at a time to get visitors and build a list. That’s still a viable method for building a list.

But there are two major flaws…

  1. Pay per click advertising is risky and if you don’t know what you’re doing you can lose a lot of money before you ever see a return.
  2. Free methods like article distribution and social networking take way too long unless you can outsource the work and quickly build a vast network of content. And of course, you have to know what you’re doing before you outsource the work…and that takes money too.

I’ve found that many of my affiliates run into a brick wall trying to generate traffic because they’ve been misinformed. They’ve been told that it’s easy to make money online without a website or a product. How many times have you seen that headline?

While you certainly can build a list by generating traffic on your own, there is an easier way…

You see, when it comes to getting traffic, you really only have three choices:

  1. You can buy it
  2. You can build it
  3. You can leverage it

I’ve already discussed the first two methods. The third method is what I’ll cover now. And that is to use leverage to get other list owners to send you traffic and build your list.

This method eliminates risk and multiplies your own efforts to build a list ten times faster than you could do it on your own. It’s the absolute fastest way to build a list. And compared with most of the free traffic methods, it’s a lot easier than you might think.

Here’s how to build a list fast and make more money from even a small list of subscribers:

  1. Develop a self-liquidating offer
  2. Create a simple sales page
  3. Set up an affiliate program
  4. Recruit affiliates
  5. Build a quality list
  6. Nurture your list
  7. Sell affiliate products

At first glance, that may look like a lot of work. I’m not going to lie to you…it is. But you only have to do the work once. And then you can use leverage to grow your business by leaps and bounds.

Now what do I mean by leverage?

First, if you sell a product that people are willing to pay for, you can get affiliates to promote it and send you their customers. And as you may already know, a customer is worth at least 10 regular subscribers.

Second, you can also get your customers to promote you because you already have an affiliate program in place. So your affiliates are really sending you customers and affiliates, which will have a snowball affect on your backend profits.

Third, if you nurture your list with free quality information, you can repurpose that content as articles, reports, videos, audios, and build a network of content that drives traffic back to your site and the whole process starts over again.

Look at these three different scenarios:

  1. Drive traffic to an affiliate product, have one chance to make a sale, and make a little bit of money
  2. Drive traffic to a squeeze page, build a list, follow up with multiple offers, make more sales and make more money
  3. Create a self-liquidating offer, get other people to generate traffic, build your list and make a ton of money selling affiliate products

In the first two scenarios, it’s YOU who is generating the traffic. At least scenario two uses the leverage of a list to make more sales. But I think you’ll agree that scenario three looks much more profitable. And the best part is, you don’t have to slave away generating traffic or paying for much up front.

Using Self-Liquidating Offers To Build Your List

The easiest way I know to build a quality list of buyers is selling quality, low-cost products and giving the majority (if not all) of the profits to affiliates. This is called a  “self-liquidating offer” because your goal is to break even. You give away the front-end profits to get other people to send you buyers.

You don’t need a best-selling product on ClickBank to rake in tons of cash. You can simply piggy-back off other people’s successful products and get a cut of the sales. But as I’ve already explained, you need a list of people who trust you and are willing to buy through your affiliate link.

To put this into perspective, let’s look at some other types of self-liquidating offers…

A weight-loss site might give away free samples of a product and actually pay affiliates to give them away on a pay-per-lead basis. Affiliates get paid a set amount for every sample they give away, but they don’t get any commission on the product itself. The merchant actually loses money on the front end. But they get a physical address and they can use an upsell to recoup profits.

The “Free CD” offer: the merchant gives away a free CD and the customer only has to pay shipping and handling, which is usually twice what the actual shipping costs and that covers the cost of making the CD. And there is usually a “forced” free trial to a continuity program (monthly billing product).

But you don’t have to do anything quite that elaborate, to use this powerful method of selling.

The first step is to set up your offer. You can create your own report or acquire resell rights to a ready made product.

The most effective method is to create your own report because that makes you the expert to your subscribers. So when you recommend a product, they will be more likely to trust your judgment. I wrote a detailed report on this subject, but the basic idea is this:

  1. You buy the product that you want to sell
  2. You use the methods that you learn
  3. You write a report about your success

That’s one of the most powerful techniques I’ve ever used.

For example, when JV Giveaways were at their peak, I wrote a short report (about 14 pages) about my success with the first JV Giveaway event I promoted.  The headline was, “How I Generated 1,012 Subscribers And Made An Extra $1,193 in 13 Days From My Very First JV Giveaway!” and it’s still online here.

I sold hundreds of copies and I also paid 100% commission to my affiliates who sold hundreds of copies and built my buyers list for me. Of course, I had a specific goal in mind for the back end profits.

I created a set of bonus videos for my customers and showed them how to set up their product to give away. I also recommended that they upgrade at a particular event to get bonus points, which helped shoot their product into the top 20 positions so they would get more leads.

A whopping 40% took the upgrade! And that’s because I took the time to teach them how it works and how they would benefit.

I gave them quality, useful information for free and made a simple recommendation that I believed would help them as well. It’s a win-win scenario.

Okay, let’s get back to the product and why it sold so well…

First, it was a true story from my own success. People love success stories. The headline drew attention and created curiosity…they wanted to know how I did it.

Second, I got good-looking graphics. The whole package was only $97 and that included banners.

Third, I added upsells for resell rights at $17 and branding rights for $27. More than 30% bought the branding rights for $27. So I basically quadrupled the value of the product by doing a little extra work.

To further increase the value of the resell rights package, I also included an affiliate tools page with solo ads, classifieds, and graphics. Plus I included a customer registration page and a download page.

That’s what inspired me to open Resell Rights Express. Most of the reseller membership sites just upload as much “stuff” as possible without checking the actual product for quality. At Resell Rights Express, my guy Terry evaluates every product, ads a customer registration page and a download page, and then reorganizes everything to make it easier to set up.

You don’t have to create your own product to use this system!

Just grab a resell rights product, set it up, and get affiliates to promote it. If you want to go the extra mile and make it more appealing to affiliates, get some new graphics to make it unique.

It does take some time to learn how to set these offers up. And if you do it right (add upsells and create tools for your affiliate), it might take you a few days. But that’s why list owners will promote for you… They’re lazy! They’d rather just send a quick email to their list and make 100% commission than take the time to set it all up.

Once you get this down to a science, you can create a new offer every week and people will look forward to promoting your latest offer. So you’ll have a consistent source of traffic, leads, and sales that will just keep growing and growing and you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank!

To wrap this up, I want to stress that it doesn’t matter whether you create your own product or use resell rights. You don’t to have to create killer graphics. You don’t have to add upsells. You just need to get started!

You need to go through the process, get your first product out there, and sell it. Don’t wait until it’s perfect. Just get the ball rolling and get some sales. You can always make improvements later.

The Simple, Proven Marketing Formula for Getting Cash from the Internet

Step #3: You create a free offer to get them onto your list. If you know what they want, you can give them something that is useful yet incomplete. Meaning, you present the solution that will solve their problem, but they’ll have to buy the product you’re promoting or selling to get all the answers.

Step #4: You follow up and sell stuff. Once you get a hungry prospect on your list, you can sell multiple products and services. These can be your own products or someone else’s. It doesn’t matter. You just sell stuff. Period.

Step #5: Keep driving traffic to the free offer. In other words, keep adding prospects to the top of the marketing funnel and let your autoresponder do the work for you.

This formula works. And if you follow the steps, you can finally take that walk on the beach while your system dumps money into your bank account.

It might sound technical to talk about having an affiliate program, or it might just sound like showing off. It’s neither one. It’s really about a simple concept-leverage.

Let’s look at some different ways that you can generate traffic:

  • Press Releases
  • Viral Software & Tools

  • Utterz

  • Starting a Podcast
  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Blogging

Long list, right? Now, are you an expert at each of those things? I’m certainly not.

I get a lot of traffic at my blog. But the main purpose of the blog is to communicate with my subscribers, customers and affiliates. And it took months before I saw consistent traffic from search engines, which is minimal compared to the traffic I get from my affiliates.

I’ve written several viral reports. But those are tools that my affiliates use to promote me. I give them the branding tools and they take it and run.

To get the amount of traffic I get from my affiliate sales force, I’d have to learn about and implement each of those traffic strategies on a regular basis. I don’t know about you, but I just don’t have that much time on my hands.

I’m only one person with only so many skills. But I have thousands of active affiliate who are promoting me and many are experts at one or more traffic strategies that drive traffic to my sites.

If you search on Google, you’ll find that my affiliate team has:

  • Posted my articles and banners on their blogs
  • Created Squidoo lenses to promote my products
  • Bookmarked my pages with links to my site
  • Posted my free reports on their blogs
  • Set up Adwords campaigns at Google
  • Posted in forums with affiliate links in their signature
  • Uploaded videos to YouTube
  • Sent my solo ads and free reports to their lists

If you take the time to recruit and train affiliates, you’ll get more done-and make more money-each day than you would by yourself in a month

And the good news is…you only have to do the work once. After you’ve created the tools and training materials for your affiliates, you could have 100 or 10,000 people using the same tools to promote you!

The real beauty of this system is the fact that you actually make money while building a list and recruiting an army of affiliates who send you traffic for free!

5 Secrets To Landing Joint Venture Deals

According to Wikipedia, The term, “Joint Venture” is defined as… “An entity formed between two or more parties to undertake economic activity together.”

But there’s more to it than that…

I’m about to teach you five killer secrets for landing joint ventures AND leveraging your partnerships to grow your business exponentially. These strategies are guaranteed  to help you score highly beneficial JVs with internet marketers in your niche.

Let’s get started…

Secret #1: JVing With The Big Dogs

If you only have a list of 200 and you want to joint venture with a marketer who has a list of 100,000, then there’s one thing you need. That is, a great product.

Here’s how it works:

  • You offer a high commission (even 100%) to the joint venture partner and make it easy for him to promote
  • He gets the high commissions and in turn you get a list of buyers that you can sell backend products to
  • If you offer anything less than 100% commissions, then you make money on the front end
  • You can pay 100% commissions on the front end and 50% commissions on a one-time-only

How Do I Get Them To Promote For Me?

These big time internet marketers certainly don’t need you. You need them way more than they need you, in other words. That’s why when you request a joint venture with a top marketer, you want to:

  • Be as generous with commissions as possible
  • Make it easy for the JV partner to promote your product
  • Send them a link to your download page, so they can examine your product

Is It Tough Getting These Partnerships?

Yes, it sure as heck can be.

Nobody trusts anybody else in this game… Unless:

  • They’ve heard about you through you establishing your authority.
  • They know you.

Most big time IMers won’t give you the time of day (if you can even get past their support crew). That is, if you’re not well-known or if they don’t personally know you.

How To Score A Big JV Deal As A Rookie:

  • Become a customer by investing in one of his products
  • Say good things about him in the community
  • Thank him for such good information and tell him the impact he’s had on you
  • Make yourself known to him and gain his trust on a small level before pitching your affiliate program to him
  • Don’t be afraid to offer 100% commissions

Give him the URL to your download page so he can check out the product. Tell him your sales page’s conversion rate. Give him the URL to your affiliate program and make it easy for him to sign up. Ask him to take only 5 minutes out of his day to take a look at your product, and tell him he doesn’t even have to respond to your e-mail if he doesn’t want to…

Do I Have To Go After The Big Fish?

No. To tell you the truth, joint venturing with marketers with nearly the same amount of resources as me has been very beneficial as well.

What are the advantages of partnering with an IMer on the same level? For one, you can’t always get the big dogs to promote your product. It’s normally easier to get the smaller guys and gals to work with you on this.

PLUS, you can make several different types of JV partnerships with IMers of your caliber:

  • Promote each others products
  • Swap lists with each other for easy list building
  • Create products together and position yourselves together

Secret #2: Multiply Your JV Deals By 5 Almost Overnight

I’m offering this tactic to you that will multiply your list of JV partners in a very short period of time, quickly and easily.

Here’s what you do.

Contact each one of your JV partners and ask to “swap JV partners.”

What I mean is ask them to plug you in with 5 of their JV partners, while you plug them in with 5 of yours.  You’ll be amazed at how many new JV deals you’ll be making this year.  Likely 5 times more than you’re currently making.

A more specific way to use this simple profitable tactic is this…

You contact JV partners and ask to set up “JV swap cross promotions.”

What you’ll do is set up actual cross promotions between your list of JV partners, while they set up cross promos for your product with their JV partners.

In the internet marketing world, for instance, I’m constantly interacting with other marketers at Warrior Forum.

When you’re replying to threads and creating threads with valuable information, you gain trust in the community. You also become well-known. So when it comes time to find a new joint venture partner, you can simply private message another marketer.

Secret #4: A Trick For Leveraging Credibility Of Others (Even Though You Do All The Work)

Here’s a secret for leveraging the credibility of a top internet marketer. This is how a few internet marketers have gone from “nobody” to well-known overnight. Although it requires a lot of work on your part…

Here’s what you do:

  1. Write an ebook or create a product
  1. Ask a top internet marketer if he/she wants to be the co-author

You write the entire ebook and do all the work. Then you ask a top internet marketer with a big name if he/she wants to be the co-author.

Secret #5: Ask To Have Your Products Promoted In Odd Places

For top internet marketers, often they know their lists are the most valuable asset they have.  They often have e-mail promotions set in place for MONTHS in advance. These marketers get joint venture partnership requests all day every day.

Their e-mail promotional space is valuable and limited.

Good news however… You don’t actually have to have your products promoted via e-mail. You can make joint venture requests for your products to be promoted in less valuable places:

  • Ask for your products to be promoted on their websites or certain pages of their websites
  • Ask for your products to be promoted on their thank you pages/download pages
  • Ask for your products to be promoted in a blog entry

You stand a better chance at having your products promoted anywhere but via e-mail. Ideally you want a 4 to 9 day promotion of your product via autoresponder. However, you can get sales just by having your product available in other less valuable places.

So be sure to bring this up in your joint venture request. Remember that these top marketers get sales every day, all day. You could get some sales/opt-ins for simply being promoted on a thank you/download page.
