My question is how does one build a successful list without being one of the listed?

I recently cleaned out my mailbox of over 2000 emails! I had subscribed to several lists which in turn were partners with others. Therefore, floods of emails entered my box! I wish to avoid that happening again, thus my question.

One of the secrets to internet marketing is choosing the best products to promote, I realize that. But how does one accomplish that when there are so many entrepreneurs grappling at their share of the traffic with squeeze page after free give-away after newsletter subscription after another?

Thanks Doug, I checked out your sites. But I didn’t see any way to subscribe to a list. You need a squeeze page or at least a popover on arrival or exit. Give away a free report or video to capture leads.

You’re selling resell rights from your own domain. What I mean by “business in a box” is something that you don’t control, like a replicated site. If you sell a product from your own domain, you control the conversion process and you can build a list.

The easiest way to get traffic and build a list is to JV with other marketers who sell similar or related products. Set up ad swaps, autoresponder swaps, bonus ad swaps and other cross promotions that boost conversions for both partners.

Great report, very concise. I liked it so much I just bought your Affiliate Cash Secrets product.

Questions: I am new to internet marketing and am primarily a direct mail marketer and have a site showing how other people can do the same at http://www.myjunkmailsecret.com. I have another site at http://www.simpleimvideotraining.com which is a ready-made style site branded for me. I believe these sites should convert well, so my questions are:

How do I get free traffic to these sites to start making money and in a reply to an earlier question from Claude you said ready-made sites are a waste of time. Can you explain why and am I wasting my time with the video training site which is ready-made?

I’d be most grateful for your expert advice and am very interested in your upcoming coaching program and would like to be included.
